Today's Lesson : Dad and Mom are Our #1 Priority

Share it Please

Today's lesson was coming to my sense when i joined the technical meeting of my KKL trips. We plan to away for 5 nights and 4 days, start from next Monday till Friday morning, and decided to have Semarang - Jakarta - Bandung as our destinations.

Not quite thrilled to be honest, because there are places that i always visit during my annual lebaran's holiday. At first, i thought i would just pass (the price is wow!), but the trip's committee promises for sure we have closer looks at what working world looks like. So despite all the grunt about expensive trip fare, i still decided to join anyway.

After read some schedules and the venue, i realized, maybe the trips worthy after all. My level of excitement instantly going up. We have one free day for goofing around at Semarang, visit Thamrin Hospital, BPOM, Mustika Ratu and Otsuka Company, have a late outing in Kota Tua Jakarta, tapping as guests for OVJ, and we'll closing the trips with play all day long in Trans Studio Bandung.

How? Good enough, right?

But then, my close friend said that she can't join this trips. The decision was made all of a sudden, because the previous day we already made a crazy plan to sneak out and create a pajamas party at the hotel. No wonder we interrogated her. We asked her, Why? And her beautiful answer was :
My father currently fight for his life, after the second stroke attack, he had five clogged arteries, he was supposed to be operated to make a bypass on his heart, but the doctors won't take a risk because his DM and hypertension condition actually can't support the operation. With help of medication, alhamdulillah he was better now and already at home. But knowing all of it, as a daughter, i think 5 days are way too long to just leave him alone with mom. I don't want to away from Papa. I'm sorry but i choose to stay.
And her best conclusion in the end was :
So if everything happens, he knows that i always stand next to him, accompanying him no matter what, just like what he always did when i was a child

*crystal tears welled up in my eyes*
what a filial daughter.
what a proud papa.
no matter what, Dad and Mom are Our #1 Priority

And her decision did make me worried.
Alloh please protect my beloved when i am not around, when i'm much too far away.
And please make me back home safely with their happy greetings that greet me.
aamiin

To dear M :
May Alloh bless your papa with the best recovery,
Syafakalloh Om, our prayers for you.
M, be strong and accompany Ibuk, you do a very good job girl, very proud of you :')
